The Sense Organ is based on a cross-sectional view of the breast, with wire tracing the structure of milk ducts and lobules like a tree growing inside the body.
Sense Organ
A rusted root
grows inward,
branching where flesh
learns to listen.
dark echoes nest inside the ducts,
lobules clutch memories—
of ache and bloom.
A chest becomes a map—
lines of iron, lines of feeling,
twisting between pain and hope,
constraint and reach.
Here, corrosion testifies
to murmurs the body learns to shape,
held within rusted breath,
to sense,
to hold,
to remain.
