DongDong (b. 1999) is a London-based visual artist and multidisciplinary creator whose practice spans moving images, performance, and installation. Navigating the absurdities, contradictions, and surreal distortions of modern life, DongDong explores themes of social anxiety, identity, and the complexities of human existence. Fascinated by the tensions between fragility and resilience, their work often reflects on the body as both a vessel of memory and a site of transformation. Drawing from personal experiences of illness and medical intervention, DongDong traces the invisible processes—emotional, physical, and psychological—that shape our understanding of the self.
As the founder of Scrapheap Collective, DongDong collaborates with a group of experimental artists to explore interactive media, urban interventions, and gamified artistic experiences.
