HOMEPAGE

PROJECT

ECHOES

Format: video/exhibition
2022/10

Our team‘s work is inspired by time. After our many trips on both sides of the Thames together, we can’t help but marvel at the way the river has shaped the city. You can see various traces of politics, religion, industry and nature in different periods.
St Paul‘s Cathedral can be seen on the south bank of the Thames, and today we pray for all desire and redemption. However, on the Thames River thousands of years ago, what were the people here praying for? They may pray that the tide will not flood, and that the wind and waves will not interfere with the voyage. Today, we are no longer afraid of wind and waves, and we no longer worship nature and unknown mysterious powers. And the Thames from west to east is like a linear time, always developing in one direction. The development of human society has also applied such a single development model to repeat.
So our team wanted to express our thoughts and questions about time and human history through the Thames project.
